The Making of the Orange Necklace

Detaching himself from the mirror, in other words, detaching from the image of the self, the mime becomes part of the making of new skin for the snake. This is a complicated piece since the symbolism of the snake varies so much among various traditions. In my work snakes, lizards and dragons share positive characteristics: they all represent rebirth and rejuvenation, empowerment and the dedication necessary to alter one's ways.
