Inspired by a Japanese Koan and a dream I crafted this collage piece. The dolphins (a word of Greek origin : δελφίνια) are inspired by the Minoan civilization (Μινωικό Πολιτισμό) and the frescos of Knossos (Κνωσσός), in the Greek island of Crete (Κρήτη), my father's place of origin. Dolphins in Greek mythology are among the creatures protected by Poseidon (Ποσειδώνα), the sea god. They are helpers to us, humans, and messangers of good news. As a child I used to observe them ride the waves in the Aegean Sea. In this piece they assist us in our transition from the invisible to the visible world and vice versa.
